Police Officer

POLICE OFFICER COMPENSATION
STARTING SALARY:
$50,024
$8,000 SIGNING BONUS FOR NEW HIRES
$1,500 upon hire. $1,500 upon completion of department field training program. $5,000 recruitment bonus paid by the State of Florida
UP TO $10,000 BONUS FOR PRIOR LEO/MILITARY EXPERIENCE

Take home car within 50 miles of city limits.

Pension buy-back for previous law enforcement or military experience

Retirement plan offers 75% at 25 years of service

3% COLA annually, after the third year

5-year DROP benefit available at a guaranteed rate of 6.5%

100% vested at 10 years

Eligible for specialty units after completion of one-year probation period.

Work 14 days a month with 4 consecutive days off.

Additional $1,560 night shift differential

Up to additional $600 per year for college degree(s). Advanced law enforcement training can be combined with a college degree for up to $1,440 per year additional pay.
